Captain Trips
(Project Blue: Part 1)
Music by John Fontana
Lyrics by David Bobick

I was born out of science...I was also born of sin
Like a freight train travellin’ down the tracks
Like a shotgun ready to blow
When I blast your world with insanity
You’ll finally know I haven’t got a soul
I’m gonna twist your mind I’m gonna bend your bones
You’re gonna scream for mercy’s final blow

Run for your life and cry
Till your soul runs dry
And so it goes
The blood will flow
With a slit of the wrist
You’ll know it well
I’m Captain Trips so go to hell

I’m merciless and I can’t be stopped
I’m gonna watch the fire’s deadly glow
I will incarcerate and I’ll incinerate
And I will decimate your precious soul
One by one I’ll turn you inside out
I’ll have you screaming for your very soul
Well it’s time to roll let the carnage rock
I gotta hear those mighty trumpets blow

Run for your life and cry
Till your soul runs dry
And so it goes
The blood will flow
I got death on my lips
You’ll know it well
I’m Captain Trips so go to hell

The Long Road
(Project Blue: Part 2)
Music by John Fontana
Lyrics by David Bobick

Lost in their dreams
A voice guides them on
Gentle in its tone
Her comfort leads them home

One by one they carry on gathering up steam
Travelling the countryside following the dreams
Some of them see others who are gath’ring in the west
They be damned they be misled But blend in with the rest
The rock star and the closet case they travel cross the land
But lose each other on the way cuz she has different plans

The long road is hard to follow
But feel the pow’r and it will take you there
The long road It’s your tomorrow
Day by day it’s gonna get you there

“Follow your dreams
To me they will lead you now
There’s shadows in the fields
The Darkman just won’t yield”

Professor and East Texas join the girl from Northern Maine
They journey towards the Rockies Colorado be their aim
Out in the west in Vegas it’s the Darkman’s finest hour
Some call him Captain Tripps but Randall Flagg has got the Pow’r
And all the rest they follow Mother Abigail’s kind hand
“Meet me out in Boulder where we make our final stand”

The long road is hard to follow
But feel the power and it will take you there
The long road It’s your tomorrow
Day by day it’s gonna get you there

The Big Fire
(Project Blue: Part 3)
Music by John Fontana
Lyrics by David Bobick

Lick you’re lips can you taste the fire
Can you feel the cities burn
Light the fuse set the sky on fire
“My life for you”
I will set you to burn
I will set you to burn
I will set you to burn

The big fire’s raging inside my soul
It’s gonna burn I’m gonna lose control
The big fire’s racing ‘cross my mind
It consumes me I cross the line

Tortured life I’ll take your pain away
Mesmerized by firelight
There’s work for you in desertland
“My life for you”
I will set you to burn
I will set you to burn
I will set you to burn

The big fire’s raging inside my soul
It’s gonna burn I’m gonna lose control
The big fire’s racing ‘cross my mind
It consumes me I cross the line

The Horsemen Ride
(Project Blue: Part 5)
Music and Lyrics by John Fontana

What’s this comin’ over me
I cannot move, I cannot see
There’s something that I just can’t hide
Alone here in the shadows of my pride

The voice is comin’ from above
“Give up your pain, and take this love
And if you’ll keep your promised land
The time has come to take your stand”

No way we’re gonna run and hide
When darkness falls, the horsemen ride
The walkin’ man don’t break his stride
When darkness falls, the horsemen ride

-solo-

No way we’re gonna run and hide
When darkness falls, the horsemen ride

Four shall set out from the East
No more or less will tame the beast
No food or drink shall weigh them down
With the clothes on their back, they’ll take their crown

The choice is yours, don’t hesitate
Be false, be true but don’t be late
And if you are to heed this call
I’ll tell ya now that one shall fall

Still can’t shake this fear inside
Come rain or shine, the horsemen ride
No way we’re gonna run and hide
When darkness falls, the horsemen ride

Coming Back Home to You
(Project Blue: Part 7)
Music by John Fontana
Lyrics by David Bobick

I was put upon this road
With the clothes upon my back
And a shadow by my side
I fell by the way I was left here to die
But the thought of you drove me on

I said to myself
Your heart is like a wheel
I said to myself
Your heart is like a wheel

You had the weight of the new world
Restin’ on your shoulders
What a way for it to be
But your face burns the mem’ries deep into my mind
And the thought of you moves me on

Through sickness I crawled
By the light of the moon
But the shadow lent his hand
Through rain, sleet and snow he paved the way
And the thought of you moved me on

I said to myself
Your heart’s like a wheel
I said to myself
Your heart’s like a wheel
That keeps me comin’ back home to you
It keeps me comin’ back home to you
It keeps me comin’ back home
Comin’ back home to you
It keeps me comin’ back home
Comin’ back home to you...

When the Morning Comes
Music by John Fontana
Lyrics by David Bobick

Every night ‘neath the southern skies
I see your smile
Starlight upon my weary eyes

One true love that is shared by two
A miracle
When the love that you share
The love that you share
The love that you share is true

Take my hand
Walk a while with me
When the morning comes…You’ll know
And the band plays On
And the time grows long
When the morning comes…We’ll know

An angel’s voice on the deep blue sea
A summer breeze
A gentle caress upon my face
Shadows fall and the light grows dim
We’ll lose, we’ll win
Together upon
Together upon that midnight ride

Take my hand
Walk a while with me
When the morning comes…You’ll know
And the band plays on
And the time grows long
When the morning comes…We’ll know

Take my hand
Walk a while with me
When the morning comes…You’ll know
And the band plays On
And the time grows long
When the morning comes…We’ll know

Willoughby
Music by John Fontana
Lyrics by David Bobick

The wind is howlin’ through my brain
Enough to drive a man insane
The snow is falling to the ground
To which my lonely life is found

The voices scream inside my head
“Ya gotta push or you’ll be dead”
They beat me down with every move
I feel the pressure creeping through

Gotta get off at Willoughby today
Sunshine and serenity
I gotta get off at Willoughby today
It’s all I need, the simple life for me
Sunshine and serenity

The phone is ringing off the hook
And I keep running for the noose
My head is ready to explode
The shattered glass my hands unfold

I’m slipping further down the hole
Every minute takes its toll
Oh help me please are you out there
Help me escape this devil’s lair

Should I get off at Willoughby Today?
Sunshine and serenity
Should I get off at Willoughby Today?
It’s all I need, the simple life for me
Sunshine and serenity

Interlude

I finally got off at Willoughby today
Sunshine and serenity
I finally got off at Willoughby today
It’s all I need, the simple life for me
Sunshine and serenity

Angel
Music by David Bobick and John Fontana
Lyrics by David Bobick

She came from a small town
Princess of the high school scene
What goes on when words get round
Daddy’s little late night queen
Fingers pointin’ everywhere
Nowhere she can hide her tears
So she packed up all her wares and cares
Headed for the street of broken dreams

So she sold her soul unto the streets
They burn right thru her feet
They cut you hard and make you bleed
So you can never, never leave
“So take a number wait in line
Little john has paid for time”
She wipes away the filth and grime
Back to do the same old grind

Angel with the dirty wings yeah
Angel She’ll give you everything yeah

solo

Angel with the dirty wings yeah
Angel She’ll give you everything yeah
Angel with the shattered dreams yeah
Angel She’ll give you everything yeah

She’s walkin’ down the boulevard…the rain
Beats a path across her face
She past about a million stars
None of them have got her name
So if you see her stop and smile
Maybe sit and talk a while
Tell her that I sent you by
“Daddy loves you please don’t cry”
